Research our website and/or Student Handbook to find the course that best suits your needs. Consider your career goals and whether you want to study further when conducting your research. Having considered these things and having chosen a course that best suits all of those needs, make an inquiry with Lyons College. You can do that through our website, over the phone, or in person at our campus.
Once we have registered your interest, a member of the Lyons College Admissions Team will send you forms to fill in and arrange a time for you to attend a Pre-Training Review (PTR) at our campus. Please fill in all sections that you need to on the form and provide any evidence or documents required.
When you attend the PTR, you will be required to complete a language, literacy, and numeracy assessment. This will help us understand how best to structure your training. Once this is complete, you will spend time with a PTR Assessor who will give you feedback on the assessment you completed and ask questions to determine the most appropriate course for you. You will also be provided a Statement of Fees which we will ask you to sign.
In conjunction with the PTR Assessor, the most appropriate course for you will be identified. This is to ensure that upon successful completion of the course, the skills you acquire will help your career goals and/or any future study you may want to undertake. At this stage, we will also see if you are eligible for any government assistance.
Once we have determined the most appropriate course for you as part of the PTR process, we will work with you to create an individual Training Plan which you will need to sign. This Training Plan outlines the Units you are required to complete and the timeframe for completion of the Units. You will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment letter prior to your commencement date.
Turn up and start learning. You are now on your way to gaining the qualifications that completing your course provides. Good luck from all of us at Lyons College!
