Dr Warren Midgley Independent Chair PhD (University of Southern Queensland), Graduate Certificate of Teaching Second Languages (University of Southern Queensland), Masters of Arts (Pacific University), Bachelor of Arts (Griffith University)

Warren was Head of School (Linguistics, Adult and Specialist Education) at the University of Southern Queensland. His research expertise is in Global Education, Sociolinguistics, Educational Research and Digital Futures in Education. He is the lead editor of four books and co-author of two books on research in Education, and has published widely in various scholarly books and journals.


He is a trained and experienced executive coach and has extensive leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector and has undertaken training for Directors through the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Julie has a strong background in information systems and technology. She has taught and researched in the field for the last 25 years and has an international reputation in the area of gender and IT, usability and website design and technology. She has served as a non-executive director in not for profit advocacy organisations and as Associate Dean (Research) at Monash University. She has also served on numerous Monash University Research Boards that oversee research direction and strategies for the organisation.

Wesa is a Director for Cultural Intelligence and has a long career in cultural diversity and international students spanning from working with multicultural teams and working cross-culturally in countries, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, India and Malaysia.

She founded the Australian Federation of International Students in 2002 and grew the organisation to service 8000 students during her tenure. Her role was also instrumental in helping establish the Victorian Government’s Study Melbourne Student Centre (previously called the International Student Care Service). Her career ranges from working directly with migrants, international students and refugees, managing a multicultural team in a disability organisation, advocacy for multiculturalism, media and communications for diverse audiences, and research on diversity and leadership in complex environments.

Dr Sweta Jain Sud Dean, Lyons College

Sweta Sud is an Academic with 25+ years of organizational achievements within Higher Education and Vocational sector, Enterprise Resource Planning and stakeholder management.

She is currently leading Lyons College as the Dean after having served the PNG Institute of Banking and Business Management (IBBM) as the Executive Director and Dean for their higher education partnership with Torrens University Australia.

She is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer/Faculty at Torrens University Australia for Project Management and MBA Subjects on Systems Thinking.

Sweta has a Doctor of Business Leadership from Torrens University Australia. She holds an Engineering Degree and two Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Project Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems and Technology. She is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

She has also served on the Boards of IBBM, Founding Director of Centre of Excellence in Financial Inclusion, Project Steering Committee of ADB led Microfinance Expansion Project and Founding Member of Business Coalition for Women(PNG) to provide a wholesome contribution to the Community.

She is an Associate Member of Global Banking Education Standards Board and a Member of Asia Pacific Association of Banking Institutes.
